When to visit

South Africa is truly a year-round destination. Generally, the hot summer months are between November to March but the drier winter months (May to October) offer prime game viewing in safari regions. For close-up whale encounters, visit the Cape Whale Coast from June to November.

Even with a green and dry season, Kenya is considered a year-round safari and beach destination. To witness the Great Migration, August to October are the best months to visit the Maasai Mara and its surrounding reserves. With minimal rain and mild temperatures from December to March these months also offer great game viewing, and often with less crowds and more accessible pricing.
